FAQ CPAPAnalyzer

CPAPAnalyzer FAQ — everything worth knowing before you get started.

The CPAPAnalyzer FAQ helps you quickly find answers about data analysis, devices, reports, accounts and security.

The answers explain how the service works in a simple way, without replacing technical information with medical advice or a doctor's decision.

Questions found: 14

No. AHI is one of the important indicators, but CPAPAnalyzer also brings together other data recorded by the device: available respiratory events, leaks, pressure, therapy time, sessions and trends.

The scope of analysis always depends on which data the specific device actually records.

No. Core therapy parameters are calculated and organized by CPAPAnalyzer's own analytical engine. The AI layer can then help explain the ready results in plain language.

If a particular parameter is not present in the device data, the system should not infer or invent it.

Yes — CPAPAnalyzer lets you assign a specific mask to a selected period and compare the results with another period.

You can then compare, among other things, available information about leaks, AHI, therapy time and result stability and supplement it with your own comfort rating.

Such a result is descriptive: for example, “during the analyzed period, this mask produced more stable results”, not “you must use this mask”.
The primary source is the real data recorded by the device, including data stored on the SD card. The system first identifies the manufacturer and data structure, then uses a parser designed for that device family, and only then passes standardized information to the analytical engine.
Device support is introduced in stages. Different manufacturers store data in different structures, so each device family requires its own parser and thorough compatibility testing. A device should only be marked as supported after it has passed validation.
CPAPAnalyzer should not create missing data. If the device does not record a given parameter or it cannot be read reliably, the information should be marked as unavailable.
No. CPAPAnalyzer is an informational and analytical tool. It is designed to help organize and better understand therapy data, but it does not diagnose and does not replace medical consultation or decisions made by your treating physician.
The system should not issue direct instructions to change therapy settings.
The CPAPAnalyzer architecture is designed with data protection in mind, including user consent and GDPR rules as well as anonymization where needed. Detailed data processing rules are described in the privacy policy and service documents. UODO – what rights does GDPR give you?
They should not. The commercial part of the service must be clearly separated from the analytical engine. Advertising from a manufacturer, retailer or medical facility must not change calculations or cause the system to favor specific equipment.
The report is designed to collect the most important available information from the selected period, including AHI and its components, therapy time, leaks, pressure parameters, trends, masks used and a summary of changes. It may also include a section “points to discuss with your doctor”, instead of providing treatment recommendations.
Yes. One of the main goals is to present data in parallel in two ways: charts and technical values and a plain-language explanation of what the data shows.
No. You can start with the shortest access period and decide later whether CPAPAnalyzer is a solution you want to keep using for longer.
The intended process guides the user through creating an account, selecting the manufacturer and device model, and choosing an access period. The next steps will continue to develop as the CPAPAnalyzer application is rolled out.
When adding support for new device families, a small group of users may be selected who have real data from those devices. Testers help verify import accuracy, compare results and report issues. The program may have separate pricing terms, but requires active participation in testing.

FAQ CPAPAnalyzer

CPAPAnalyzer FAQ — four important principles without guessing or shortcuts.

The CPAPAnalyzer FAQ explains the most commonly confused topics involving calculations, interpretation, device support and the medical role.

When analyzing therapy data, it is easy to confuse automation with reliability. That is why these areas are separated and described individually.

AI and calculations

AI can help explain a result. It should not invent the result.

The most important therapy values should come from real device data and calculations performed by a controlled analytical engine.

Not this way
“AI will look at the data and calculate everything itself.”

Such a model makes it harder to control exactly where the result comes from and whether it was calculated correctly.

Yes
The engine calculates. AI explains the ready data.

First, specific values are calculated, and only then can they be described in more understandable language.

01
Device data

The source is the therapy record from a specific device.

02
Calculations

The engine organizes and calculates the available parameters.

03
Explanation

AI can help describe the ready result in plain language.

Data reliability comes first. Convenient interpretation comes later.

This separation is one of the core principles described in the CPAPAnalyzer FAQ.

AI does not replace the calculation engine
Missing data remains missing data
Every device requires validation
Analysis does not replace a doctor
